Japanese Foreign Minister, Mr Taro Kono, launched a two-day visit to Hong Kong on March 24 and 25. Mrs Lam welcomed Mr Kono's visit to Hong Kong, who is the first Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan to visit Hong Kong since Hong Kong's return to the motherland. The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Chief Executive, Mrs Carrie Lam, had specially arranged for Mr Taro Kono to visit the Government House.
We were fortunate to assign TPDS professional drivers and limousine to serve officials. Mr Taro Kono first visited the Legislative Council and met with the Legislative Council Chairman Andrew Leung Kwan-yuen and others. On the same day, he also visited a judo gym to meet and communicate with more than 20 young students. In the evening, he had dinner with the Consulate General of Japan in Hong Kong .
